Warrior’s word asked Varsity Basketball coach Brian Hirtz a few questions relating to his 2015-2016 team, here are his responses-

What do you think of this year’s team? Do they work well together?

Our team works very well together and has good chemistry on and off the court.  They are all hard working student athletes and a pleasure to coach.

Do you feel there is a strength when it comes to Senior leadership?

We have great senior leadership in Erin Bolskar, Tristan Dooley and Emily Schulte.  They are all captains on our team and lead us everyday in their strong work ethic and motivational words.

How is the girl’s work ethic this year?

The players work extremely hard everyday.  We are together for 2 to 2 ½ hours every day on the court, in the weight room and in film sessions.  They are all very dedicated and are the true definition of student-athletes.

What are your goals and aspirations for the second half of the season?

We have won some big games lately and are starting to play real good basketball.  We hope to keep competing in the tough classic 8 conference and then make a deep run in the playoffs.
