Women of Will is an organization that aims to promote female athletes and female sports, in male dominated areas. Muskego’s Women of Will program is involved with 12 female student athletes, and two female coaches. Coaches for Women of Will are Nina Rouse, the coach for girls wrestling and girls rugby, and coach Katrina Beeck, the coach of cross country and track. The female athletes at Muskego are seniors Alana Perry, Emilie Rochon, Ali Mims, and Tessa Buckmaster, juniors Ella Kratochvil, Bella Beeck, Kate Harrison, Angelica Refinski, Elle Peterson, and sophomore Olivia Chavez.

The purpose for Women of Will is “to provide a platform for our athletes to feel that they are equal and have a voice” says Rouse. Throughout the program so far, the girls and coaches have made progress in promoting female athletes and the sports that those athletes are in, Rouse states “the progress we have made we started a WoW program, and have identified athletes in the program, but have much more to do”. The girls have a couple of things to work on to get the program out there more, not just for Muskego but all female athletes around the whole world.
