Come to Muskego Pops Concert!

Amanda Veley

This year’s Pops Concert is on November 18th, and the theme this year is a Pop of Color.  The students who are performing are very well skilled and have put in lots of hours of practice to make this concert a success. There is a large variety of different acts that will be put on and there will bound to be something for everyone. The performers would appreciate nothing more than to have other Muskego students to come and show your support. There are judges, from the Muskego Tri-M club, who hand-pick all the performers so that the night will be a big success. One of these judges, Helaena Otterbacher, wants everyone to know, “This year’s Pops Concert auditions showed an encouraging variety of music types, as well as a show that does concentrate solely on musical ability. It has been an area of focus to encourage a more diverse selection of shows, and it is my hope this is a step in the right direction. This year’s lineup included solos, but also bands, a cappella groups, large groups of singers and a comedy show. We hope in the future that we may get more auditions that are not only from our music departments, and maybe even more incorporation of different instruments. This concert should have something for everyone and features many members of the school from new faces to bands who perform numerous live gigs.”
