New Year, New Pool

New+Year%2C+New+Pool

This year at MHS, the swim team is proud to swim in an all new, 8-lane pool.  All the hard work that the construction crew put into this project was totally worth the wait.  One of our swimmers commented on the first day that we saw the finished product: “The pool looks amazing; I’m glad we get to practice in it this year!”  While the MHS Girls’ Swim and Dive team practiced at Greenfield High School, the new pool was was receiving various updates. Our updated MHS pool now has new windows a new sound system, better ventilation (better air conditioning), a new scoreboard, and not one, but two new diving boards.  They did have some setbacks.  The first day of school was great; everyone got in rhythm with the new pool, however, the filter wasn’t working the way it should.  For the last few days, the girls were happy enough to practice at Franklin High School while the filter was being replaced.  Now, after all those days swimming at different schools, they are now off to a good start for the swim season.  “I am very proud of how the girls are managing the sudden changes; they are working really hard to earn what they want to achieve,” said Heidi Szczupakiewicz, head coach of the Muskego High School Girls’ Swim and Dive team. The girls are also proud to announce that we will be hosting a conference on October 20th, so they hope that all goes the way they planned and can get to swim in our pool for an event such as this.
