Outstanding Performance by Varsity Girls’ Tennis
October 2, 2017
The Muskego varsity girls’ tennis team has had a great season, with many accomplishments that the entire school should be proud of. The girls stated their season with a championship finish at the sixteen team South Milwaukee/Oak Creek invitational. They went on to win a 2nd place finish at an eight team Wauwatosa invitational. The varsity team also had a very good showing at the conference tournament. They took 2nd place overall in the classic 8 conference and had a dual match record of 6-2. This tournament is also where Muskego captured two conference championship flights.
#1 doubles Sonia Gude and Erin Brezovar defeated Mukwonago 6-3, 6-0
#2 doubles Mady Becker and Uma Gude defeated Arrowhead 6-3, 5-7
In the singles championship round, Maddy Toboyek finished 2nd place and Michelle Pan finished 3rd place.
This year’s team is not only working well together on the court, but they also have gotten together for breakfasts, banner designing, dinners, and many other bonding experiences.
“The team is a very dedicated group of athletes who support each other on and off the court.” -Coach Sue Vogel
