Kicking into a Great Season with Girl’s Varsity Soccer!

The Muskego Varsity Girls Soccer season is going strong! Their record right now is 9-2-3. The team this year consists of twenty girls, and thirteen of them are juniors and seniors. Players say that the team this year is very talented and they have good team chemistry overall. Coached by Eric Hess and Lance Matthews, the team has had some major wins this year. They are ranked fifth in the state for their division, but at one point in the season they were ranked fourth. Earlier in the season, they had an impressive victory over Brookfield Central, who are ranked number two in the state. The girls also won the tournament that took place at Brookfield East, which was a fantastic title to bring home. In more recent news, an unfortunate turn of events caused Kenzie Balcerak to be out for four months because of knee injury, just as playoff season began. Despite the loss of a key starter, the team has become co-conference champs for the first time since we have joined the classic eight. So far, this team has had great success in their playoffs. They recently beat Nathan Hale in regional finals and will be playing this Thursday at 7:00 in their first Sectional game. Come show your support!
Congratulations to the seniors on the Varsity team that are going on to play in college!
