ROBOTICS  This past weekend, the MHS robotics team competed in Duluth, Minnesota at the FIRST Robotics Northern Lights Regional Competition.

  • After nine hard-fought qualification matches against teams from around the world, the WarriorBots placed 22nd out of 59 teams and was selected to play in the third-ranked alliance in the elimination rounds.
  • Despite the outstanding play of the drive team — composed of Kat Maupin, Pedro Molina, Jake Busalacchi, Aiden Blenker and Wesley Lidwin — the WarriorBots were edged out in the quarterfinals.
  • The WarriorBots finished the weekend with a six and six record overall and are in an excellent position to improve those statistics in the Wisconsin Regional Competition, taking place on March 20th and 21st at the UW-M Panther Arena in downtown Milwaukee.
  • Off the field, the WarriorBots earned both the Entrepreneurship Award and the Safety Award on the strength of their business and safety plans.
  • Special recognition goes to Ana Maupin, Jessica Miron, Maya Liebel, Tori Burany and Pedro Molina for their work on these plans.
  • Congratulations, and good luck at the Wisconsin Regional!
