Giving Cancer the Free Throw

Everybody needs a little help with getting their wish come true.  Swish for a Wish is what helps those people get those wishes underway.  Ever since this program started around 10 years ago, Swish for a Wish makes the girls basketball team a team of donating heroes.

SWISH FOR A WISH

This program helps those who are struggling with childhood cancer and other disorders.  Those who contribute for the program gives money away for every free throw the girls do.  That money goes to the families for their finances and medical reasons.  This year, they are “swishing” for a fellow warrior named Natalee, whose cancer is being funded for treatment and helpful support to her family.  “The girls need to get $3-5,000 to give to Natalee’s family,” says the Head Coach Brian Hirtz.  Send in your donations at the event on February 3 in the Salentine gym.  The presentation of the purpose for Swish for a Wish will start at 630 pm; the game will start at 7.  Be there to support our fellow warrior and her family and cheer the girls on as they give cancer “the rebound shot.”
